 Preliminary studies have shown that the effectiveness of the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine was 91.6 percent, while a recent study of 18,794 people found that the Sputnik V vaccine was 95 percent effective. The study results show that the covaxin vaccine currently in use in India is 78-81 percent effective and Covshield is 82-90 percent effective. Sputnik V is considered to be the most effective vaccine in that category.

 What is the price of Sputnik V vaccine in India?

 A single dose of Sputnik V vaccine is priced at Rs 995 for 40 paise in the Indian market. A two-dose Sputnik V vaccine can cost anywhere from 1990 to 2000 rupees. Sputnik V is more expensive compared to both Kovacsin and Covshield. Kovacs sells for Rs 400 to a government hospital and Rs 1,200 to a private hospital, while Govshield sells for Rs 300 to a government hospital and Rs 600 to a private hospital. Here the price is expected to fall after the Sputnik V vaccine production starts at full volume.

 When will the Sputnik V vaccine distribution start in India?

 Apollo Medical Group has announced that it will pay for the Sputnik V vaccine in India from the 2nd week of June at a price of Rs 1195. The Delhi government has announced that the distribution of the Sputnik V vaccine will start from June 20. The Sputnik V vaccine will soon be available in hospitals across India.
